I see the same here. Near our small town, some folks have been doing a community garden for the last several years.
Those folks, like me, that have have 5+ acre have been growing small gardens for years. This year, I didn’t grow as much; but I have been supporting my local small family farms. These small farms are thriving here.
I rarely buy fruits and veggies in the grocery — unless they are locally grown at one of the small farms. I have mostly changed my eating habits to local in season fruits and veggies. Let’s be honest, the mass produced veggies simply don’t taste as good as the locally grown. I have resdiscovered my love of carrots. Don’t get me started on the lettuces! 😅
Maybe we are discovering that some of the old ways are just better.
