  This was interesting.
  How much one pays for their premiums monthly, out of pocket costs, deductibles, would an annual payment be better?
  Or just keeping what we would pay monthly into a savings account, and just pay cash for services as needed?

  I no longer refer to it as the ‘medical profession’
  Rather i view it as the ‘medical industry’.
  
  And am so thankful only have to see the ‘Dr.’ every 18 months.

  We are headed towards socialized medicine . Dont wonder why . We are already like a 3rd world country . Yes we have good medical care , but just like people in a 3rd world country , nobody can afford it . I understand why people figure , full blown socialized medicine cant be WORSE than what we have .

  thats what I’d like to know? have you decided or broken it down? thing is, if you have medicare and another insurance, the medicare pays first, then your other (the one you pay premium on) only kickes in a certain amount, so you stiLL have out of pocket expense!!! and keeps getting more….so is it better to take what you pay in premium, put in medical acct and try to negotiate a cash price for services? most doctors/hospitals WONT NEGOTIATE, they have a set price and wont even give you a discount for cash, which saves them from filing medicare and insurance!!!
  
  so, is it worth it to cancel your premium payments and put in acct for medical? dont know…..

    Thats one of the arguments for Socialized medicine . They have had decades to fix the problem , and refused to do so . I hope it happens , honestly . Its THAT BAD . There really is no defense , or excuse .

  any ideas on this one? keep paying premiums, or just put in separate acct and pay as you go? unfortunately docs and hospitals etc WONT NEGOTIATE even when paying CASH! saves them the time and hassle of filing, but they wont give you a straight cash price…..aggravating!

    Was standing in line at the supermarket the other day , and I overheard snippets of a conversation from a couple of Canadian tourists . One of the things they said was …………….” ………boy , dont get sick in THIS country , these people have no idea how BAD it is …….” ……………………..well yes we do .
