I can speak to the living in the DC area (I lived in Fairfax).
Making $120,000 was like making $58,000 else where.
I knew guys who would come up from Richmond on Monday, rent an apartment with 3 or 4 others, then go home on Thursday night to their families back in Richmond for the weekend.
