Less heat is being transported out of the mid Atlantic and up to the AMOC point (where the water sinks to the bottom and flows back after cooling).

Means a hotter Atlantic. Storms get stronger. And we’ve had some doozies in the last few years.

Means a cooler northeastern US coastline (less heat incoming up there). Bigger snowstorms. Smaller heat differential means slower weather patterns, so the storms stick around longer. Sound familiar?

    Wow, shades of 1989.

The theories and models have been dusted off and a new generation ginned up against flatulent cows and more.
