Anyone recall when they passed the ethanol mandate for gas? The spike in tortilla prices in Mexico? Like, near riot levels. -
I have friends in China, they say it is not slowing down even with slaughter and burning with military road blocks. Right now price of pork at the table has gone up 25% approx in Shanghai. Like the article is saying other meats are increasing due to demand, mainly chicken and goat as beef is nearly all imported and expensive to start with for regular people.
They fear an avian flu that would collapse food system there.
