With the exception of boot camp, I was given more privacy in military barracks. And I shared a room.

Better than living in a tent on the street….assume one can pull a curtain for some privacy?  Like the youth hostels?  I keep wondering if we’re unable to return to the shared housing of ages past…  The borders in the widow’s home?  I know several single/widowed friends who are buying homes together to save money and pool other resources….avoid loneliness or just being vulnerable when alone.  Do we make friends like that anymore with our constant changing of locations?
