I know you are a leo whirl but protecting wrong doers only further erodes trust. 2 years as a soldier many engagements not one civilian killed ever. In the shit hole of africom. Someone did they where court marshaled and jailed no excuses. That was place where kids ran up with grenades and pulled pin tossing it into crowd when you where handing out aid. Had running street fight for 4 hours not one dead civilian we took dead and crippled for life and still did not shoot the armed goat herder who came too close to wire. It’s called responsibility, honor and courage your life on a job that you get paid way less than a cop far from home a young man not fully mentally developed and they do better than full grown men… or are those just cowards and bully boys like the brown shirts? I bleed over the so some bastard could get rich on lies of helping democracy and freedom for the people. I am older and wiser now and I call it like I see it cops have a cancer in the ranks and if they don’t fix it it will be the citizen who cuts it out along with some of the good. Why do you think cops can’t recruit with 100k a year with over time in such a depressed economy?

I did, I wore the badge. Past tense, I got hurt bad enough wearing that badge that they won’t let me play anymore.
How many articles about corrupt murderous soldiers could I find? Heck, I believe that there have been entire books made about that.
And in most cases where there is officer impropriety, its reported by other cops.
In fact I can point out a study that showed over 9000 arrests of crooked officers that were made over @15 years. In a pool of approximately a million, thats a pretty low percentage. Considering that there are about as many in the military as there are cops, how many arrests/convictions are there for the same time period?
Ya there are bad guys in every group, just like preppers and bankers, and doctors.
Here’s a thought, why not look at all the good that the cops are doing? Or doesn’t that fit the narrative?

Yes bad guys in every group othe than big pharmacy and doc cops are killing more people a bad plumber does not kill a client. Unlike other groups when you fuck up you go to jail not paid administrative leave for cops. You shoot someone you are going to see inside of station jail till it’s sorted and you are making statement at that time not given time to reflect talk to union lawyer and then make statement through them and get investigated by your buddies.
As for injury sorry to hear that part of every job it is why I had to go back and retrain twice due to limited and reduced capacity.
As for convictions sell that to some other person blue privaleged is alive and well many who if they where civillians would get life walk away from all sorts of reprehensible shit.

There are so many messed up things cops do and never get charged when joe public would be In the jail immediately, that is the root of the problem.badge does give you extra rights and Immunity which it should not.
First thing they always shout because they are trained to say it is stop resisting because it grants all kinds of immunity and yet many video of people complying and getting the crap beat out of them… some even raped cause you know well that’s ok behaviour. Any other personnet her than high up government official that charge put forth you are going to jail not for police men though….
