“Fear is the mind-killer.” Or in this case the economy-killer.
China killed its manufacturing sector temporarily. Leads to the above. People see empty shelves and availability dates on Amazon that are months out and suddenly it’s real to them. So consumers stop spending at a time when corps and businesses are stuffed to the gills with debt.
By the time China gets its factories ramped back up there will be lots fewer businesses ordering lots less stuff because consumer demand is in the toilet which has driven a true retail and wholesale apocalypse.
Everyone now has debt service problems.
So layoffs, lower demand again, downward spiral.
This will blow up the derivatives market, which in turn will blow up the banks.
I’ve been looking for this. The dominos are now falling.
If you’re not prepped now you ain’t gonna get there.
Good luck everyone.

I keep hoping and praying that this will not get that bad here in the US but that is just a pipe dream. Don’t know how long this is going to last but looking at China, their first case was Dec. 1st 2019. And it is still going there. Here we are now up to 11 dead and 240 cases at last count. The Princes Cruse ship is sitting off CA shores with everyone on it waiting to be tested and not enough test kits here in the US. So I fear this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
We are prepped and ready as we can be. We can go maybe 5 to 6 months without leaving our house I hope. We have had things in stock that we thought we would never see the day we would need them and now I can pull them out of storage as now we will be using what we already had.
Hoping everyone here is about as well stocked and set to stay put in homes for at least a couple of months. It will be very hard on those that have to work. That will be a whole new set of plans to prepare.
Best to each and everyone here and please try to stay safe from this mess.

I just read a report of a person from China, who was studying in Iran, returning infected!
Now China is worried about people coming from outside back in and bringing the virus with them. -

Oregon has not yet gone into shutdown mode, but I have no doubt it IS coming.Saw this coming, but didn’t expect it to hit this fast. Have 3-4 Months food for the two of us, Off-Grid heating, lighting and cooking are in place if the power gets cut. Have more than one water filter, and am working on procuring a 50 Gallon gasoline supply. I think having a Ham Radio License is going to prove IMMENSELY useful!
