What are people using to post pictures seeing that a URL to the picture is needed? Years ago most people used Photobucket. What do people use nowadays? Any tips appreciated.

Igotspurs, I’m working on it. I’m seeking the perfect plugin for this.
And by perfect I mean one that doesn’t’ cost hundreds of dollars or bog down the site loading speed. 🙂

Test picture (just to see if images work.) Yup! Seems easy enough to me!

I often use tinypic.com, Varnishe… but my favorite image host is use.com because it automatically shrinks those gigantic images that span more than one screen to something that’s more reasonable. For forums, I find that VERY handy. However, you may find that use.com is frustrating to use anonymously. If you create a free account on use.com, you may have to give the site some personal information (your phone number) before they’ll give you a named account. My access goes back many years so I haven’t had to do that. I’m a bit of a stickler about protecting my anonymity. It’s important to me.

This is a test. A few days ago, I spent a while uploading 15 photos hosted by Tinypic.com and found that none of them worked here. I switched to Use.com instead and had no further trouble (except that Use’s resolution is less than 100 percent.) I’m now giving Tinypic a second chance. If this doesn’t work, then I won’t recommend it again.

Okay… the image does NOT display (not for me, anyway) even though I often use tinypic’s images in other places.
The url of the image I just tried to display is:
http://oi63.tinypic.com/2rwxi03.jpgIs there a firewall issue? Otherwise, I have no guesses as to what the trouble might be. Use.com can host the image just fine (which is also my way of demonstrating that I DO know what I’m doing, image-wise.)

Okay guys, let’s give this a try. I think we may have resolved the issue now.
Meet Thor and Bella. They’re starving.

Here’s your how-to, folks, and I’ll make this a separate post for you.
Click the photo icon in the upper right-hand side of the tool bar.

Then choose your file from your computer.

Then insert image and BOOM. Done. 🙂

What is the size limit, or format limit?
