Trump’s move on Huawei, with Google acting on it, is causing more problems internationally than just China and the USA.
As much as I see the need to not have a foreign country (to the USA) having full control over a lot of electronic devices used in the country, where does Google fit in? The are EVERYWHERE and control everything. 🙂
Will be interesting to see if cellphone makers move away from Google, to not be “held over a barrel” by on corporation.
And lest we forget, what is really behind this move? Trevor made some good points here:

Bring it on ! We can survive things , a lot better than they can . Our pain will be short term , theirs will be long term . Its a lot easier to start making what you need yourself , than it is to figure out what your going to do when people STOP buying yours . They are in bigger trouble than they are letting on . They are rolling the dice . We on the other hand , can always become more industrial again .

Anyone recall the The Guardian article, crying about the tariffs and how evil Trump was to put that kind of burden on Americans at Christmas? How that was the only time of year people could afford to buy their kids gifts?
It was a shallow, pathetic, all things materialistic fluff piece about mass consumerism.
Everything Christmas is not supposed to be.There are people out there crying about how things will get more expensive. If they do, maybe people will stop and ask themselves, “Do I really need that?”
