Looks like Google, Amazon and now Microsoft are all bidding for this JEDI contract to store critical classified data into these private sites across the nation. I personally think it is nothing more that data collection upon citizens of our nation for some Orwellian future. A future that is of concern regarding government power.
My issue is with the massive weapons budget at over $700 billion per year and who knows how much for the CIA budget, why would they need to use private (mostly liberal) businesses like this to conduct data collection and future warfare? The Pentagon, CIA and the never mentioned NSA have the taxpayer money and the power by declaring anything they want “National Security” or “Classified” so what gives? What agenda are they trying to mold?
We need to be vigilant on digital platforms or else some episodes of the Twilight Zone will become reality!

My basic rule about pretty much everything is “If you would be embarrassed to tell your grandma about it, you probably shouldn’t put online”.
Don’t put secrets online, and theres not much left to worry about for most of us.

Except all of your life is online. Your phone never stops recording you appliances don’t every tv to toaster. Outside you are on camera 1000s of times a day and they can listen as well every street light.
What right does anyone have to this data? Let alone the government? There is zero reason do them ro have data. 100 percent sure the politico will not be part of collected data.

Right, Olivia. Sigh….our area was changed over to the DRIVE BY electric meter readings. Course the up side of this is…..no guy climbing into the XL dog’s back yard to personally read the meter. Odd thing is, it shows up on our computer’s options of networks. It took the longest time to figure out what was giving off the reading since we don’t have any other wireless devices except the modem/router/whatever for computer.
OldMtWoman ….continuing down the electronic superhighway in an ox cart… 🙂
