I will completely go offline, as far as forums or things like Facebook, for a few weeks to a few months at least once or twice a year just to reconnect my brain with the real world and my own brain waves.

I feel like an anthropologist among the members of an unknown tribe when social media is talked about, since I have never Fakebooked, Tweeted, Hashtagged, etc. and still use only a landline. Yes, I’m old.

What really baffles me is the selfie craze. (Yes, I still use a regular camera.) How depressing is it that people stand on cliff edges for that perfect selfie and sometimes fall to their deaths to impress others?

I’m lucky that I’ve reached the age where no one is interested in what I do or say, and I feel zero need to impress them online or elsewhere.
