Fruit Balls by Mrs O B Lewis
6 Sweet apples
6 bananas
½ cup raisins
½ cup chopped dates
½ cup chopped nuts
3 teaspoons of cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ pint of whipped cream
Peel apples and scoop out a large hole, leave a little bottom to the apple
Fill with chopped nuts, dates, raisins and sprinkle with cinnamon
Split bananas lengthwise, slip each apple on 2 lengthwise pieces of bananas
Bake in a moderate oven, leaving a small quantity of water in the bottom of the pan, if not cooked in a fireless cooker, other wise use no water
Serve hot or cold with whipped cream seasoned with vanilla
