I have a friend who lives in Denver CO. They saw exactly this happen: People from CA leave due to high taxes, high cost of living, regulations for running a business moved to CO . . . and brought their “ideas” with them, rather than leaving them in CA.
And now there are counties in the state of CO that want to leave CO for all the ideas/laws/taxes that are being forced on them by the Denver Liberals.

Welcome to VA. We are still trying to figure out what happened. Think we were blind sided by the hidden issuses no one knew about. Not to mention the gerrymandering that has been going on to redistrict the republicans into democratic areas. So we loose everytime. Funny thing is we voted against gerrymandering and lost. So they will keep right on doing it.

It happened to Vermont 30 years ago. The out of staters were welcomed because the mentality was everyone ought to be free to do their own thing.
    Now they rule the state.
Over the past 2 decades Vermont has become one of the most progressive (regressive) states in the union. Finally, 2 years ago the left started being able to push through gun control (which had been the last area in which conservative thought still held sway). Each year they have pushed harder.
    Vermont is lost.
