A fix personally but it doesn’t effect the country.

Right.
But there are entire swaths of the county who plan on, are counting on SS to be their retirement.
They did not start saving early. Or at all.
There are those who do not feel they need to or should and are counting on some kind of government social program to pay for everything from housing, to healthcare, to college debt et.I think those who did or are saving, are going to be the ones who look around and say, “I did everything right! Everything I was supposed to do! Not be a burden on anyone else! And now those who did not, are being rewarded!”

Lucky if only thinking that if big daddy government does not take over managing your retirement for the good of everyone. Starting with a small onetime tax or fee on tax protected retirement savings.

Yeah, I think I mentioned in another thread about applying a tax to all the 401k plans as a redistribution of wealth at the cost of those of us who have saved and put into those plans.

They have talked about the 401 plan for years, just can’t get it by the older crowd.
The youngsters are all in favor of it as they are decades away and have nothing saved anyway.
