Welcome to Sept, 2021!
For me, it was almost like midnight hit and fall arrived! Lows in the 50s, highs in the low to mid 70s.

Low 90s to upper 80s here with night time temps in the upper 70s.
Lows in the 50s? Those are our evening temps in January.

I’m kinda in a holding pattern. I’m watching my granddaughters for 4 days while mom and dad take a break and I got a skin cancer thing removed from just under my eye to be tested.
I’m on day 3 of the girls and I remember why the young have them children 😂. I’m gonna throw my grandson in for the mix this afternoon and just finish off all my energy.
I’ll get back to things next week.
y’all still need to turn them fans south for me though cause it’s brutal

Splitting too much punky wood that’s been sitting around a year too long. But it still burns, and an outdoor fire keeps the bugs away.

Sunshine state checking in:
Gas prices are at $3.09 here. A family member with COVID and symptoms is fine. I say symptoms cause 2 others didnt have any at all.
Supplies are expensive and thinning out. Dog biscuits were $2.78 at Walmart, now $3.29.
Keeping an eye on the tropics. There is one system which may touch our shores.
Need to stock up on spices though.
Its been a few months since my washing machine broke and washing cloths by hand. Honestly I am used to it and not a big deal. The sun heats up the water nicely. Just need to work and plan around the weather.

Got rain and wind off the storm but the power stayed on, cooler days and light rain here for days since the storm and I hope no more storms this year.
I have been cooking food on a small electric hot plate and bake oven since moving here, so last evening after making fried chicken I told dh there has to be a stove in that kitchen. I went to a used appliance shop and purchased a propane stove, it cost more than I needed or wanted to spend but half of what a new one cost.
It is a challenge for me to stock a kitchen that has nothing in it for preparing meals, so I am ordering one lodge skillet and one lodge griddle to go with the stove. The stove I purchased has cast iron grates covering the burners which I have never seen a stove made like it before, hope it turns out to be a good one and not a waste of money.
