One of those secondary effects of war that is wide spread we may not consider.
I like to think people here in the US will not be impacted, but things like wheat (and oil) are a global commodity and prices will reflect according to global prices.
People on the lower end of the economic spectrum who have a larger percent of their paychecks going to food will feel the pain the most. -
The grain market will see some volatility and there definitely will short and long term hunger. There will also be food security fear and doubt whereas many will no longer know what they’ll eat or when and the next meal is always a scramble and hustle.
How it’ll go down I’m not sure because things have changed since the Cold War with globalization. We could be fine here IF we go back to America first thinking but that is doubtful because it’s politicians money first supported by The People who will have guilt and want to send everything everywhere. -
