Regardless of which side of the political spectrum you are on, that is not right.

No, not cool. Granted Tucker Carlson makes me want to pull my hair out, that is just crossing all lines. If you confront someone in the street or at their job that is one thing, but to go to their house and try to force your way inside. No. His wife and children were there, they were in danger, it wasn’t just confronting him. If he had been armed, and shot through the door and killed someone, people would have gone batsh*t crazy over it, but he would have been fully justified to do just that.

Uuumm, according to the article, the kids were not home.
But still does not matter. Someone trying to bust down someones front door is wrong.

    Not better.

I thought they were. May have been how I read it, or misread it. Still regardless, they crossed way too many lines and aren’t helping whatever cause they are protesting about. It only serves to divide and make a wedge deeper than it already is.

That’s just insane. I am no fan of mainstream media talking heads but we’re quickly losing our humanity.

    I am a cord cutter.
Some of these people, the MSM talking heads, I only know through other reporting.
I think I may have seen this Tucker guy once or twice on a vid.
Same with that Rachel Maddow person.

These type acts, threats of bodily harm based on a person’s political leanings should be considered domestic te/rro/rism and prosecuted as such.

@addison-dewitt, be careful what you wish for. Terrorism is a political definition and, as such, changes meaning according to who is in power. There is plenty of laws on the books to prosecute these kind of acts without calling for special laws.

@Addision Orrrr you could just go for harrassment and disturbing the peace without sending us down the creepy dictatorship-hole. As Dark Future says that way leads to a pretty… dark future.

I too find this completely unacceptable. If you have a problem with a news anchor you kick it up to the boss of the news station and do a letter campaign or protest outside the news HQ. Threatening to hurt or kill the anchor is complete and utter bullshit. Threatening to hurt or kill anyone, especially at their home, is completely beyond the pale.

What the hell happened to “do unto others as you wish to be treated”? Do you think this is going to help your case? Because I have no idea what that mob is protesting for but I can already tell you I just instantly lost any respect/sympathy for its cause that I might have had. Before even hearing what they stand for! That is the impact of your actions! Rawr. I know none of those folks will ever read this but I just had to vent.

On the prepping side… what do you do if a mob forms around your house? Call the police, sure, but… then what? It’s an interesting thought exercise. I guess I’d treat it like a hurricane and board up my windows. Trying to leave would be risky, what if you get seen? Are you exposed on the way to your vehicle? Driveway blocked by their cars? Do you just wait for them to get bored? How the hell do you de-escalate that?

Does anyone know of any biographical books where the author dealt with protests around their house? Because I’d love to read them.
