    Daisy posted this over on TOP site the other day.
    Has anyone seen the Slow Roll trucks on the road?

    We are doing it wrong to begin with , we need to get trucks OFF our interstates . They are a big reason why American roads are crumbling faster than can be repaired . They were never designed for that much freight . We need to get our railroads back in shape , Get the freight off the road and onto the rails . The only truckers we should see , are the local boys , taking things to , and from , the train station . Travel across country ,there are some areas where there are more trucks , than cars on the interstate ………………its ridiculous .

    I saw that the other day.  No, I haven’t seen anything of the sort in the US.  Truck drivers in the US are in short supply.  Wages are going up for them because of it.  Why should they be protesting?

    Nothing on any news site regarding any slow down at all.

    @tolik,
    I do not disagree with you about our roads need fixing, and the rails too.
    Dont know if our rails system could accommodate all the trucking freight too.
    I like your over all idea.

    @James,
    Yeah, aside from that one article and Daisy bringing it to our attention over on TOP, I have not seen any other news.

    States would loose a lot of revenue if the interstate hauling of goods by truck were to be reduced or even cease.  The hit fuel taxes would take would do it alone.  For instance, my state requires truckers passing through to stop someplace in the state and buy fuel, and pay the associated fuel tax.  A lot of people associated with trucking in one way or the other would be very negatively impacted financially .

    Then again , governments loosing money isn’t always a bad thing . Matter of fact , if we took the money out of a lot of things , situations would get better almost over night , like getting rid of for profit prisons . Incarceration should not be a business in a ” free society ” . We would be more free if we did that , as they would strike laws that create a burden on the state .
