Get some cash on hand before this, not in bank but under your mattress. They will raise ceiling for sure but if no one buys debt they will need to increase interest paid which is another issue. If interest rates go up by 1 percent expect about another 100 billion in instant debt because of fed reserve loss on treasuries already bought which us people are on the hook for 4 percent hike will.be more than gdp and welcome to Zimbabwe.
