Yep.
When I raise hogs, they do seem to slow down in weight gain when it is hot.
I then take 4 5gal buckets out to them to make a wallow, and have to take additional 6 buckets (3 in the morn, 3 in the eve) just to keep them hydrated.
But the buggers loved to drink the water I put in their troughs, then do a sideways belly flop into the trough. Even though I poured them a wallow! -
We had to have a foot levered drinking fountain for pigs for same reason but in summer we put a sprinkler up on a pole and ice block in the water fountain. This is why clay pit and shade trees for animals are so important.
