We are seeing a lot of people self-isolating, or social distancing.
But when we start to see the infections and deaths climb, then I think we will see a real lockdown, and not by the governments order, but people doing so by their own decision. -
Not to be cold , but in perspective ,80, 000 out of well over 300 million , is a drop in the bucket . just sayin

Yeah, that self-motivated lockdown may cause more deaths than the virus. At the very least the economy isn’t going to come “roaring back” later this year.

It is but look at italy’s numbers by percentage…. 80, 000 is not the right number if China lost 21 million cell subscribers some from lack of $$ but as only way to connect to others in isolation would be last thing you give up just saying.
Italy 80,000 infected 10,000 recovered 8,000 dead…. that’s not a good cure death ratio of 3.4 it’s about a 60 /40 split of infected dieing
