I really think the key to this is that we are an Education group – we exist to learn and to teach others preparedness skills. Too many groups try to form a “We’ll all get together when the SHTF” group. That’s just a recipe for disaster – personality conflicts and power struggles just seem to follow (I’ve seen it first hand in other groups). On the other hand, it’s also a place to make connections, so if some folks get to know each other through the meetings, and then want to make other arrangements, that’s perfectly OK. We just don’t do that as a group.
