What bothers me most about this is that everyone believes everything must be regulated or guaranteed and common sense is no longer allowed.
As bad as I dislike politicians this one is mostly The People who can’t mind their own business. If I raise a garden on my yard no matter where it is that’s my business. If I own a farm just because you bought an ATV doesn’t mean it’s yours to ride on. Just because a big company farming business moves in it doesn’t mean you can regulate me out of business. If my cow poo stinks and you move in next door then you accepted it and can’t sue me out business.
The People who can’t get it have never been hungry, don’t understand because they’ve never had to raise anything and think food comes from styrofoam.
I can see both sides.
Our town has a law on the books that no livestock can be within 300ft a body of water that comes from off ones property, transits through, and then off to another’s property.
But yeah, I have seen a report about a farm that had been there for generations, then a housing development went up next door and they tried to sue the farm for the “smell” and animals being animals, i.e. breeding.
