    But who is getting those raises?

    There is scarcity of some specialized workers that is causing a raise in of salaries for those people. Firms are fighting each other offering better pay packages and paying heads hunters insane amounts to cover some positions. And some workers are changing job frequently just to get a raise. These are $60-70k a year jobs with full benefits.

    On the other hands, yesterday I talked to the cashier at the Home Depot. The lady, about 60 I would say, works three jobs to just be able to keep a roof over her head and food on the table.

    @DF,
    I get what you are saying, but I am going to look at it as there are more people doing better than not.
    Better than those numbers staying below the 3% mark.
