For those who water glass eggs, what do you do with the lime water left after you have used all the eggs? I hate to just pitch it if there is a use. Can it be added to the garden for fertilizer if further diluted? I make a fresh batch for each batch of eggs. I look forward to your wisdom!
I just dump it. Dunno if it’s good for the garden but it didn’t hurt the grass. I store mine in the storm shelter.
If you have a compost pile it’d be good I’d think.
I’m “new” to waterglassing and manage to give my extra eggs away fairly quickly, but I’ve never read anyone about having to change out the water. How often do you need to change the water? I keep my eggs in a less than half gallon jar. 8nfo please.
I don’t change out the water. I just don’t keep it after I’ve used that container. I’ve had eggs crack or had cracks I didn’t know about and it can cause a smell.
here is a post that has a video link on it for those wondering
