    An interesting idea.

    I know of people who back the idea of a living wage for everyone . . . until you get to the part where the cost of food would have to go up to pay that farmer a real living wage. Then the balk. They want their $3.99 ground beef be damnned if that farmer/rancher has to take a loss.
    Or people who go to a real farmers market and are shocked at the prices. That is what it really takes to bring a product to market and make a fair, living wage.
    And then they complain about it, and rush off to the big box store and their big Ag products.

    I would take the local farmers market over the big box stores any day. Yes it might cost a bit more but is well worth it to know where my food is coming from. I don’t do cosco, I am a member of Sam’s club and B’J’s wholesale club but am very picky about what I buy there. Mostly paper goods.
