    That’s very interesting. I personally developed some serious food allergies in my 40s – to really strange things. It’s bad enough that I carry allergy meds and an epi-pen at all times.

    There is definitely something going on because allergies are everywhere.

    I tend to think part of it is the lack of germ exposure coupled with who-knows-what additives or chemicals in the food these days.  I developed a nutmeg allergy in my mid-30’s.  They don’t list nutmeg as an ingredient often as it usually falls under the umbrella term natural flavors.  My sister developed a peanut allergy in her mid-30’s.  Both of ours are severe allergies out of the blue.
