Interesting comparison between the 300HAM’R, the 300Blackout, and the ol 7.62×39.
I like they used all the same weight bullets.
Is it the new round of the month for the AR15?
Dunno. Seems like there is one or three a month.https://www.shootingillustrated.com/articles/2018/10/30/review-wilson-combat-300-hamr/

@James,
Agreed.
I am going to stick with the all too common, lowly .308WIN.
Seems to do the job just fine. From everything from small game, if you know how to reload, to large North American game.-

Stockpiling any of that exotic stuff would be expensive, and hard to find when needed if you didn’t stockpile a bit.
I have four .308s. Like’em a lot! But I hunt deer mostly with a Weatherby Fiberguard in .270Win. Retailers sold them years ago. They came with a bedded McMillon fiberglass stock. Sold under the Weatherby name, they were actually manufactured by a Japanese company name Howa. I sent it off a long time ago and have the barrel and action Nitexed, so its weatherproof and looks like stainless. Topped with a Leupold 3 X 9, I’ve killed a LOT of deer with it, and its very light, which us older folks appreciate.

The Ham’r is the latest attempt to get on the train, after it left the station.
I won’t say that it isn’t a good round but being proprietary like the .300 Whisper, it is doomed to fail as it will never become mainstream.
The Blackout while not perfect, is both common and inexpensive. And bluntly, a dream to load for.
No it won’t replace the .308 in the corner but it has attributes that finally got me to tool up for it and get a barrel.
And it did replace the 7.62×39 in the collection.
