I actually saw this yesterday.
Well, they were not eating, but at the bar drinking.
I have family in town, and we decided we would go out for dinner with a friend last night. We were trying out a new local restaurant that had just opened last week. We got there a little early, and sat at the bar while waiting for our friend to arrive.
Two guys walked in, the hostest asked if they had been there before, they said no, just checking it out. They took walk around to just see the lay out then opted to sit at the bar and have a drink.
And they stared at their phones for most of the time, not speaking to each other or the bar tender.
I found it odd.
